It was a bit hard to locate but the area was quite upscale. I guess it’s not everyday you see pink flamingos. You also can’t go inside, but you get a view of the flamingos through the “gates”
Amazing to see flamingos in the middle of Milan! Maybe not worth going out of your way for but definitely amazing to sneak a peak if you’re not too far. (Note you can’t go inside but you still get a good view)
It's a private property with flamingo
I found Federica’s tour on AirBnb, and we communicated through the website for where to meet and start the tour. She was punctual, professional, prepared, and quite funny. This was my first trip to Milan, so I wanted to learn a lot about the city. She was very knowledgeable about the area, and seemed to have a good relationship with the superintendents of the courtyards we visited which allowed us access. The tour lasted 1.5 hours with a short coffee break in the middle.
P.S. I do not speak Italian, but I was pleasantly surprised that Federica spoke English for me on the tour! It was very helpful for me, and made the experience better. You can find her on AirBnb as:
‘Federica- The Courtyard Hunter’
I booked an initial tour of Milan’s courtyards with Federica via Airbnb and had a great time - so good that I booked a second tour of Leonardo Da Vinci’s vineyards during my stay there! Federica shares a lot of detail and interesting historical facts about buildings, gardens and courtyards in Milan. She is very passionate about Milan’s hidden history. She was kind enough to give the tour in English to me and happy to answer questions.
Getting a tour guide in person is much more interesting than having an audio guide. It’s amazing to find all these beautiful and secret areas in Milan in what seem like normal streets. I won’t go into detail so that I don’t ruin the surprises! I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in finding out more about Milan.
You can find it under Arts Experiences in Milan or by searching for ‘The Courtyard Hunter’ on AirBnb.
Nice area. We went to see the flamingoes.
This place rich of silence talk. You visit and you get speechless of the beauty of it. I almost cried here ❤️🍀 …
